Do you have to report a minor auto accident?

You need to report an auto accident even if it is what you would consider minor. The only possible exception to this rule is if you were the only car involved and there was not enough damage to your car or anything else to warrant any repairs. If you were involved in an accident with another car, you need to report it to the police if anyone was injured. If no one was injured in the accident, you could decide to report it only to your insurance company. Even if you are in a no-fault insurance state, you should at least let your insurance company know.
