5 Types of Wills

There are many different types of wills that you can use in your estate planning process. Here are a few of the different types of wills are available.

1. Simple Will

This is a standard will then is used in order to determine how your assets are going to be distributed. You can complete one of these will on your own by filling out a form that you purchase or you can work with a lawyer.

2. Holographic Will

A holographic will is one that you actually write out by hand. In some states, these are not allowed, but they are still used occasionally.

3. Testamentary Trust Will

The testamentary trust will is one that is designed to set up a trust to distribute your assets upon your death.

4. Video Will

A video will is when an individual reads aloud a will in front of a camera. This type of will is allowed in most states and it proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is the deceased person that is coming up with these wishes.

5. Living Will

A living will deals with how you would like to be treated medically if you are incapable of making your own decisions in this area.
